Our Process

Send us an email or call us at (561) 665-5375 with any question you have regarding refinish or repair of your vessel. Even if you prefer to have work done elsewhere, we're happy to answer any questions you have. If you do decide to work with Top Coat, here's what you can't expect.


One of our experienced refinish experts will come meet you to review your vessel's needs. There is no charge for travel or estimates. Some projects can be very complicated. Top Coat will walk the entire vessel with you or your approved signers and document every concern area. We understand your time is valuable and your likely eager to see quality results. In some circumstances you may already be paying yard fees. We promise to have a completed estimate back to you within one business day. Each and every detail discussed will be referenced in the estimate so as to avoid any ambiguity in the future. Each project is accompanied with a contract that protects the interest of both Top Coat and the owner.

Job Start

Once Top Coat has received your approval to move forward, in most cases we can immediately begin work. Our flexible business model allows us to activate assets when they are needed in a very short period of time. Yards will be notified during the quoting process to ensure availability of space if the estimates are approved. Our business partners were specifically selected and support our business by continuously stocking nearly all of the materials that we use for 90% of all projects. There is no lag caused by long lead-time material orders.

Job Progress

You can expect as much communication as you can stomach. We want to make sure the results of the work match your ongoing expectations for quality. We will provide scheduled walk-throughs with owners and/or other approved parties within 24 hours request. In most cases, owners and approved parties can immediately review work. However, we do prefer to avoid accidents and interruptions that may slow progress so it's best to speak with us first. Weekly progress reports will be sent for each project that includes a photo log. Final inspections are required by Top Coat and all approving parties must sign off on the work before the project is approved for delivery.


For most vessels, Top Coat will require a material deposit when work begins. From that point, installments can be made in a manner that's agreed upon by the vessel owner and Top Coat. We offer several payment options to best suit your needs. We accept all major credit cards, direct deposits, cash, and check.
